Trinity Blood's story is confusing and full of political jargon, but it also includes some wonderful fighting and action scenes. The series starts off slow and succeeds in causing most fans to say, "What just happened?" After a few episodes the series starts to pick up and move along, but some episodes continue to be slow and painful to watch.
The music in Trinity Blood does a somewhat average job of keeping the series going. The piano is used well in sorrowful scenes, and the gothic choir music does a great job during Abel's transformations. The opening and closing songs fit the series. The voices fit the characters during both soft and action packed scenes.
Trinity Blood's action and heart-wrenching scenes are great and can really cause a person to cry. The series' slow start and somewhat average concept pulls the series down. But if you can get past all the political talk and just want to see some vampires killing people then go ahead and watch the series.

Trinity Blood is a breath of fresh air in the vampire land of anime. It's been a long time since there has been a vampire anime this good looking, but in general, the anime is quite good. It is very fitting for the type of anime it is, and everything about it is elaborate. The design is colorful, flamboyant, and is fantastic to observe. The action is exciting and they don't pull punches by avoiding any of the good parts. Overall, it is just a very good looking anime.
The story is about middle of the road. We've been here before: war between humans and vampires, with the religious heads leading the fight. However, the great thing here is that it's not complicated. There aren't as many details as you might expect. Despite cliches, there are enough juicy bits here to absorb and keep one satisfied. The fact that we have vampires who hunt vampires thrown in for good measure is a fantastic addition that gives the series a great deal more interest. It also helps that there is a strong focus on action here, which balances the politics of the two sides battling. There is a sense of culture that raises the series up more, which is certainly a positive.
Although the voices here aren't anything more than what you would expect, they luckily are what you would expect. This is great, considering how easy it is to pick the wrong voices. The characters meet expectations, and that is more than enough to ask for with a series of this proportion. What truly makes the series stand out as far as voice work goes, is the way that the lead character is captured as having two completely different character types living within. We definitely get a sense of the dynamic of this character, and both voices work fantastically for him.
Unfortunately for such a great anime, the soundtrack is rather unnoticeable. It could simply be that the visuals are so good that you don't pay attention to the music, but I also found myself skipping over the opening and ending themes.

I really like the characters in this series. Good or bad, I have yet to be exposed to any character I did not like. The design of a world after a complete nuclear war, and to show it as remnants rebuilt is really good. I liked the animation of all the characters, well, except for the fact that all the men are really, really tall and the women all seem really short. Nuclear fall out I guess.
This story is very good. I am pleased with it except for the main character. Don't get me wrong, I like the Abel Nightroad character but I see a large amount of Vash the Stampede in this character. It bothers me so much in fact that it actually gets in the way of my enjoyment of the series. Abel, just like Vash doesn't want to kill anyone unnecessarily and he goes around trying to convince others to better themselves by practicing the good guy routine. Also, I can't help but notice sometimes he makes himself appear to be a real idiot to take away from his talents... sounds like Vash to me. Other than that small point... the series is great. It's a real joy to watch.
I watched more than my fair share of this series and I feel the voice actors did a great job with this one... vampire teeth in place and all, just kidding. I could not find too many instances where there were mistakes. This was a great enjoyment for me!
I am in love with all the music in this series. I love the gothic darkness of it. The music is very complimentary of the whole series. It works great!

Wow. There is nothing more I can say other than that. This show can really seem like a pleasant and calm show, but when it comes to vampire attacks, can be really like a horror movie. Vampire bites and severed heads really make the action scenes worth watching! I would say that this is one of the bloodiest animes I've seen.
The story doesn't really live up to the level that the animation is on. It's kind of the only thing I was disappointed in when watching it. They sort of incorporated religion into the show, which I was a little iffy about.
The voices on Trinity Blood are decent. Each character is very believable and there isn't one character that sounded unrealistic.
Overall, I like this show mostly for the action. I watched the premier episode on Adult Swim and was blown away by the action. So much blood was in it, that it had my blood pumping!

The animation and character design is absolutely gorgeous; a dark, but sleek and beautiful style. The characters don't seem to have a flaw on them. Each character has a design with it's own quirks and finesse that leave you entranced instantly.
Its hard to follow the story if you miss as much as a word. The plot is deep, and you may not even know it until half way through the series. The intensity and humor keep you watching, but it definitely takes the observant to follow along.
Performances are nothing outstanding, but everyone plays their part well. The android is apathetic, and the vampires are charming, so you shouldn't have any complaints.
The soundtrack is beautiful and intricate as much as the characters themselves. You'll definitely have a few songs on your playlist by the end of the series.

If you hate anime, it's probably because of shows like Trinity Blood. People with ridiculous skin tones in a ridiculous setting with ridiculous clothing that hardly seems physically possible to wear, who drone on and on about utter nonsense: That's Trinity Blood in a nutshell. Oh yeah, and there are vampires... I guess. The character design in Trinity Blood is nothing short of a cosplayer's wet dream. Fortunately, they threw in a few very slick fight sequences to keep me from vomiting.
I don't mind religious influence in the anime I watch. I do mind religious superiority though. The idea that Catholicism, of all religions, proves to be the single survivor and the key to defeating a mysterious vampiric race in the future is both offensive and preposterous. That aside, the story doesn't have much else to stand on. It's a fairly standard story of "he said, she said" misunderstandings and people having to come to terms with the true nature of war. There are some cool ideas, like super-vampires who feed on other vampires, but the vampire lore seems to have few rules, which are seldom enforced.
I've only seen Trinity Blood in English, which is probably a shame. I can't think the story would be better told in Japanese, but I am almost certain I'd hate all of the characters a lot less if the original Japanese VA's performed them. From the shrill voiced vampire-child to the effeminate-yet-deadly super-vampire Catholic priest, the characters are convoluted in essence with performances to match.
Trinity Blood drives the stake-of-suck further in to its own heart with terrible music for both the intro and ending. The in-show music is all, I assume, original orchestral compositions. None of it is bad, but none of it is memorable, either. In an anime where literally nothing makes sense, as it's just a rotten cliche sandwich, at least the musical score does.

Although each character under the service of the Vatican wears similar black and white, they each wield a unique weapon and special techniques. Abel Nightroad's transformation looks awesome with his dark wings and terrifying scythe. This series has a lot of smooth flowing animation and graphics to display the characters' emotions and exciting battle scenes. The problem is that Trinity Blood gets the audience excited about the upcoming battle, but it tends to end the violence a little sooner than expected.
The story discusses a lot about political and religious involvement. It might be just me, but the plot for Trinity Blood sounds vaguely similar to Trigun, with the main character having a secret past as he continues to search for his evil brother who threatens the existence of man. It's like a gothic version of Trigun with more religious and political arguments than action. It's not very original.
The English voice acting fits well with the time and setting of a post-apocalyptic Europe under a strong religious following. The only problem I have is when the main characters' dialogue sounds like whispering. Except for the android sharpshooter and the royal guards, the characters sound like they lost their voice.
I don't have much to say about the music for this series. It does meet the appropriate gothic theme involving dark vampires and holy servants at war.

The animation is slightly reminiscent of Chrono Crusade. The main characters seem to be a mixture of various styles from other animes, like Esther is the typical big-eyed anime girl. Abel looks similar to a cross between Samurai Champloo's Jin and Chrono's Aion, but Lady Catherina, has a more original and distinctive design. The battle scenes leave little to be desired.
Trinity Blood has its roots in religion. The Crusniks, manufactured vampires who feed off of other vampires, are named Cain, Abel, Seth, and Lilith. The first three are the names of Adam and Eve's sons, while Lilith is said to be Adam's first wife. The vampires are referred to as the Methuselah (another Biblical name). In this case, vampires are created from a Virus that depletes blood cells, making the body long for blood, which leads to a prolonged life. The only way to kill a Methuselah is to destroy its heart.
Troy Baker does fairly well as protagonist Abel Nightroad. The goofy side of the priest seems a bit over the top at times, but the more serious aspects of Abel are portrayed quite well. Colleen Clinkenbeard (Riza Hawkeye and Rose in Fullmetal Alchemist, and Rachel in Case Closed) makes Esther seem a bit whiny as the series goes on, but she was phenomenal in the first four episodes. Lydia Mackay (Sloth/Juliet Douglas/Trisha Elric in FMA) is absolutely fabulous as the mature and level headed leader of AX, Lady Catherina Sforza. The most surprising cast member is Christopher Sabat, who normally plays over the top characters such as Ayame Sohma in Fruits Basket, voices the monotone robot Tres.
Definitely a whole new breed of anime, Trinity Blood exceeds expectations in most categories. The music is phenomenal for an anime, though it can be a bit overbearing at times and sometimes distracts from the show. Trinity Blood is a definite show you don't want to miss.

The animation and characters help to bring life to this dark world of religion and vampires. The action is always going with bullets flying, swords slashing and blood spilling. The characters, in their neo gothic robes and armor help merge the futuristic and classical themes of this. Father Abel Nightroad feels a little like Vash from Trigun, but you soon find that he's his own man.
The story of Trinity Blood breathes new life in to the old Vampire legends. The story is filled with twists and turns that leave you begging for the next episode.
All the actors do a really good job of bringing each character to life. The performances really get you in to this dark world filled with tragic ends and a hopeful future.
A wonderful score that helps to project the deep emotions that progress the story. Each song brings with it its own fill and attached emotions that play well against both action scenes, and the complex drama.

The animation is very modern and the characters are all so beautifully designed, it's quite difficult not to watch! But, what really gets me about this show are the machines, architecture and vehicles that the characters use. Weapons are very involved in this particular show, and they are so very different. I usually don't pay much mind to how authentic the environments are in anime, but Trinity Blood has definately caught my attention.
The story of Trinity Blood seems a little far-fetched, and so often there are vampires hunting vampires in anime, but I believe the reason for that is because vampires are cool and a lot of people think so. Though far-fetched it may be, the story of Trinity Blood certainly does make for a good show. Given the situation, it's nearly impossible to predict what will happen next, so people come back to find out.
When a character calls for a strong-willed personality, it is definately delivered in Trinity Blood. Each voice, I feel, is accurately matched to its character. I never would have guessed Greg Ayers as a child-Pope, but it is pulled off very well!
Trinity Blood gives anime-lovers exactly what they want: compelling, beautiful characters, an interesting, relatively easy-to-follow story, and a pretty good soundtrack. If you love anime, you should probably watch Trinity Blood, just so you can see what everyone else is so hyped up on!
