Even though there are some scenes that are impressive, the overall animation is not. It comes off as being pretty standard unless there is something climactic happening.
The story is well written and has a nice flow some of the time. However, having seen a lot more of the series than what has been aired on Cartoon Network it feels more like Dragon Ball. It's going to be long and drags on. Simply put, there is a lot of unnecessary filler.
The voice acting is good. As far as the transition from the Japanese to the English Dub version the only real complaint that I have is with Jiriaya. The English voice just doesn't seem to match his personality. The man is supposed to be a fifty year old pervert. For the most part he just doesn't sound that way. I don't necessarily think that it's the acting per say, but the voice that is being used itself.
For the most part it is an enjoyable anime. I don't think that it has a re-watch quality of something like Cowboy Bebop or Wolf's Rain though.
I've seen most of what's been released in Japan of the series and I catch the episodes as they air on Cartoon Network. It's not something that I'm going to keep in my DVD player and watch everyday.
I happen to enjoy the Japanese version of it more though. It's one of those series that there has been a lot of editing done to it. I haven't had a chance to see the uncut version that has been released over here so I'm simply going with what has been aired on Cartoon Network. The uncut release may be closer to the original. I hope that it is for the fans of the original format.

What's very interesting in Naruto is the fact that this anime uses different artists throughout the seasons. Recently the manga won a Quill Award (a consumer-driven award created to inspire reading while promoting literacy) for best graphic novel in North America.
The voice acting is where the anime falls short at times. It's very similar to Dragon Ball Z where the episodes drag on, especially in the English dubs. The voice acting can be extremely painful to listen to.
Naruto spans over 200 episodes and is still not finished yet. Naruto is a must see anime and has its own sense of action, drama, comedy and adventure. I would recommend watching the anime in Japanese due to the fact that in the English version, clips and scenes are missing. To get the full Naruto experience I would recommend renting the DVDs and watching them in English or go to your nearest anime store and ask them "Do you have Naruto - uncut" version? This is one incredible anime for sure and I would recommend this one for both beginning and veteran fans.?

The animation is very good and the viewer is able to draw a lot of things and the environment.
The storyline in the beginning is to establish the characters. Later on in the story, Sasuke breaks away from the group in order to follow through with his revenge.
Naurto is full of surprises, Sasuke the silent character, and Sakura who wants to get close to Sasuke. All the performances are very well done in Naruto.
The music is good, including the background music.
This series has been shown on cartoon network for several months now. The story has already been done and pasted that. Naruto is boring in the beginning. Also English Dubbing sucks. Naurto never says "Believe It" in the Japanese, and that phrase always pisses me off.

Who doesn't like ninjas? Naruto has an intriguing plot... so long as it's during an arc. The episodes between arcs can be entertaining, yes, but don't do much in terms of overall character development, which can be both a pro and a con. Each arc this show goes through gets stronger, which really says something for the manga-ka's development through a story. While the Zabuza arc is good, the Chunin Exam arc is much stronger, and the Sound Ninja arc, well, you get the picture.
Naruto's animation is bipolar, that's the only way to describe it. Most of the time the animation is like most Pokemon/YuGiOh clones, which isn't a bad thing in itself, it's just nothing out of the ordinary. Cue a scene change to a fight, whoa, what happened to the wide-eyed ninja kids? Major one-on-one battles are breathtaking, and the switch between animation companies lets you know when something important is happening. Character design, while not making much sense (how many bright orange-clothed ninjas do you see?), are good, and characters are very easy to distinguish from others.
"Believe it!": quite possibly the worst catch phrase in the history of... well... "ever" should cover it. Whoever translated "dattebayo" (Naruto's Japanese catch phrase) to "believe it" should either be shot immediately, or at least asked a heartfelt (and angry) "Why!?" Moving on, the voice acting for this show is for the most part average, a couple voices standing out as either atrociously bad (BELIEVE IT!... okay, I'll stop now), or surprisingly good. The soundtrack is for the most part repetitive, but it fits the mood of the show, which is never a bad thing. Overall, nothing to brag about.
Good in Japanese, barely tolerable in English. If you have the option, watch it in the former, you'll enjoy it much more.

The animation for Naruto was great. Team Seven made walking through the forest so real! Furthermore, the fight scenes were brilliant.
I love it! The whole ninja world is completely explained in a loony way. From genins to hokage, everything was thoroughly amusing. And the missions, they really involve the viewers. The one thing that really killed the storyline though was the filler episodes. Sure, some of them were amusing but come on! Get to the story!
Oh how the English version sucked. Why oh why was this dubbed!? The subbed version was so amazing, the voice actor gave life to their characters, yet the dubbed version was like eating a shoe. How could the Japanese actors who deserve a 10 yet the English actors get a 6 in voice acting? Elementary my dear, the voice actors for the subbed version didn't breathe personality into their given characters. Oh how Rock Lee died on the Cartoon Network...
Masashi Kishimoto is a genius. This anime is legendary. Uzumaki Naruto is historical! Yet why do I feel a slight pang in my heart? Is it the filler episodes? Is it the English voice actors? Either way, watch it! =]

Everyone loves a series where best friends compete against each other. Ninjas are as much ANIME as BIG ROBOTS!!! and yes.. the FOOLISH NARUTO is very silly but filled with many important morals.
I would say the Japanese voices are great. HOWEVER, this is another ANIME where the voices in ENGLISH just blow a persons mind... the cast members are all very skilled and it really shows in the quality in English.
